Voters seem to be OK with the budget that was adopted by the Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda School Board of Education, because they approved tonight, according to unofficial figures.

Students who are interested in pursuing a career in business will now have the opportunity to get an in-depth look and practice in the field because of a new program being provided in the Kenmore Town of Tonawanda School District.

School district, teachers’ union reach contractual agreement

The Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda School District has reached a contractual agreement with the Kenmore Teachers’ Association that has resulted in a new three-year contract.

The deal, which takes effect on July 1, features numerous cost-saving initiatives that helped close a $12.5-million deficit. The Board of Education approved the new contract at its May 8 meeting.
