X The ArtsCanisius series at Canisius College in Buffalo has set its schedule for September.

ArtsCanisius presents concerts by professional musicians, including members of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and Canisius faculty, art shows and lectures by professional artists, as well as student recitals.

ArtsCanisius presents the following performances, which are free and open to the public:

Sunday, Sept. 12 – Meet the Faculty Recital at 3 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center, 2001 Main St., Buffalo. The performance will feature Christina Lynch, soprano; Melissa Thorburn, mezzosoprano; Anna Mattix, oboe; Ellen Barnum, bassoon; and keyboardists Karen Schmid and Jane Cary.

Friday, Sept. 17 – Meet the Faculty Recital featuring the Dave Schiavone Quartet at 3 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center. The quartet, which includes Dave Schiavone, saxophone and flute; Michael Jones, piano; and Peggy Scalzo, drums, has a large and loyal following.

Monday, Sept. 27 – Meet-the-Faculty Recital at noon in the Montante Cultural Center. The performance, which will feature Ansgarius Aylward, violin and Jane Cary, harpsichord will include works by Bach, Handel, Mozart and Vivaldi.
