Community Education Department offering new course for writers
The Ken-Ton Community Education Department has added a new course this fall that will teach aspiring writing how to get their work in print.
“How To Get Published,” presented by nationally published writer and author Kathryn Radeff, is a motivational workshop that covers all the basics on how to submit work to editors, agents, and publishers. Beginning and experienced writers, both fiction and nonfiction, will learn the most effective steps for publishing magazine articles and books, how to develop ideas, write great query letters, format manuscripts, and what to expect in contracts.
Students will unleash creativity, explore personal interests, and discover a wide range of opportunities. The course will be held from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20, 27, Oct. 4 and 8, at Kenmore West, in room 202, 3200 Elmwood Ave. in Tonawanda.
The cost is $99. Advance registration is required. Call 874-8500, or visit www.kenton.k12.ny.us.
