TAKE NOTICE that the undersigned Town Clerk for the Town of Tonawanda, New York has received the Tax Roll and the Warrant for the collection of the County and Town taxes for the year 2012 and she will receive such taxes in Room 14, Municipal Building, Kenmore, NY. January 16th to February 15th without penalty. After February

15th the following penalty fees will be added: February 16th to February 29th, one and one- half percent (1.5%); March 1st to March 15th, three percent (3%); March 16th to April 2nd, four and one-half percent (4.5%); April 3rd to April 16th, six percent (6%); April 17th to April 30th , seven and one-half percent (7.5%).

On May 1st the 7.5% penalty fee is added to the levy, forming the base then due. Thereafter, interest is added to the base at a rate of 1.5% on the 1st of each month, making 18.78% in all when unpaid taxes are sold in November.

If taxes are unpaid on or after April 3, 2012, a late notice will be sent to the owner of record and a $2.00 late notice fee will be added to the bill as required by State and Local Law.
