Canisius to host social media business summit
The Canisius College Women’s Business Center, in conjunction with Ruby Marketing Communications, will host its first Social Media Biz Summit from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at the Fairfield Inn and Suites, 4345 Genesee St., Cheektowaga. A networking party will immediately follow. The Social Media Biz Summit will offer conferences and workshops that provide business professionals with high-level social media strategies to help them navigate and expand their marketing communication activities in the digital world. Trocaire series on professional development set
Trocaire College will be offering a series of non-credit courses for professional development during the next month through the Workforce Development Department. All three courses in the series will be held at the Russell J. Salvatore School of Hospitality and Business on Transit Road in Lancaster. The three courses are: Public Speaking, Friday, Feb. 10; Conducting Performance Review, Friday, Feb. 17; and Managing Workforce Conflict, Friday, March 2. BNI Platinum meeting to feature speaker
