MEETING — The Western New York Rose Society will have its monthly meeting 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15 at St. Stephens-Bethlehem UCC, 750 Wehrle Drive, Amherst in the lower hall. All are welcome to attend.

LOOKING FOR NEW MEMBERS — The Buffalo Bicycling Club, Western New York’s premier bicycle racing club, is proud to announce the launch of their Junior Development Team. The goal of this program is to introduce boys and girls ages 14-18 to the sport of bicycle racing in the hopes of establishing a life-long passion for the sport and to help promote healthy lifestyles.

Riders will need a working road bicycle that can stop quickly and shifts gears. A helmet which is in good condition and fits correctly is required for all racing and training events. Riders will need clothing to stay comfortable in all of the various weather conditions we encounter during the riding season (April-November).

CALL FOR WORK — Echo Art Fair announces a separate call for artists to present at the second annual Echo Art Fair, taking place Saturday, July 7 and Sunday, July 8, 2012 at The Larkin Center of Commerce, 701 Seneca St., Buffalo. Site- and event-specific projects, including visual media and design works, temporary installations, temporary architectural interventions, time-based media, musical presentations, dance, movement art, theatre, sound performance and interactive concepts are encouraged. The deadline for submission proposals is Monday, April 2. Concept proposals should be sent to echoartfair@gmail.com. All proposals should contain “echo Art Fair site proposal with Your Name” in the subject line. Proposals may include a one-page description of the project, a brief bio of the performer/artist/group, and no more than three images ( JPG, 3 MB or less) or a one-minute digital sample of the work (maximum 20MB). HISTORICAL PRESENTATIONS — The Cheektowaga Historical Association offers historical presentations open to the public following their monthly meetings on the third Thursday from February through May and September through November at the Cheektowaga Senior Center, 3349 Broadway, Cheektowaga. CALL FOR WORK — Impact Artists Gallery is looking for entires for its 2012 National Women’s Spring Exhibition. The exhibition is open to all women artist 18+ in all media except video. Entry deadline for submissions is Thursday, April 19, 2012. There is a $20 per non-refundable fee for a single image, $35 for two and $10 for each additional entry.
