Music of the Grateful Dead —The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, long known as one of the most avant-garde ensembles in the nation, is pleased to announce a project in collaboration with the Buffalo State Music Department. Turning the clock back 40 years, the BPO, under the direction of Paul Ferington, will perform the music of the Grateful Dead including full orchestral arrangements with special guest band Forever Young, as a tribute to the 1970 show in Buffalo, the brainchild of former music director Lukas Foss.
