North Buffalo Community Church is offering married couples the chance to enjoy a getaway kick-off to Valentine’s Day.

For a full day, couples will experience dancing, fine dining, and interactive activities aimed to enhance marital bliss spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically.

From Friday, Feb. 10, through Saturday, Feb. 11, married couples of all ages are encouraged to join the church’s married couple’s small group at Lockport Inn & Suites, located at 315 South Transit Street in Lockport.

Jacuzzi and fireplace suites are available and vary by rates from $89 to $159 per couple (visit www.lockportinnandsuites.com), so couples should reserve their room as soon as possible should space be limited.

One of the event coordinators, Deacon Russell Bell, has had the privilege of experiencing many of NBCC’s married couples’ small group events and looks forward to spending time learning how to strengthen his relationship with his wife, Tammy Bell.

This time it will be on a different level, moving and grooving.

“This event in particular, unlike the others, will offer couples the opportunity to enjoy each other in a way that incorporates one thing that many people love to do, which is dance,” said Bell. “Our spouse is the one we experience everything with, but we oftentimes do not take the time to just dance with our better half. It is a true representation of being in sync with one another, moving as one as spouses, parents, relatives and friends.”

With creative challenges, dinner and designated quality time that the couples will have individually and collectively, Valentine’s Day will be a holiday already in motion. This getaway will prepare the couples to reach new heights as they strive to enjoy each other and move as one unit in an intimate setting. Dinner will be at the Tuscarora Inn, approximately $25 to $28 per person. Couples are encouraged to tell other couples to sign up.
