Meet the author, 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9. Author Julie Caton will share her new book, a historic novel called White Heart with the audience. White Heart is based on the life of Madeleine de Roybon D’Allone who escapes France during the reign of Louis the XIV and moves to Ontario. Although the change is everything Madeleine thinks she needs, she soon discovers that some of her previous troubles have followed her. Knitting Club meets at 6 p.m. every Tuesday and at 10 a.m. Friday. The club is for beginners to the most experienced knitters. Participants sit, talk, knit, sew, or come with questions and materials. It is not necessary to attend every meeting.

160 Delaware Road, 873-2842 The Kenmore Branch is temporarily closed for remodeling. It will reopen Wednesday, Feb. 8.
