Vets helping vets event set for April 15
The Erie County American Legion Family Project “Veterans helping Veterans” is hosting a Chinese Auction from 1 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 15 at the Milton J Brounshidle American Legion Post 205, 3354 Delaware Ave., Kenmore. Admission is $10 per person. Auction Tickets are $5 per sheet or five sheets for $20. Auxiliary hosting annual books, DVD’s, CDs sale
The Kenmore Mercy Hospital Auxiliary will be holding its annual used books, DVD’s, and CDs sale from from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 17 to Friday, April 20 in the hospital Atrium, 2950 Elmwood Ave., Kenmore. Hundreds of items will be available at this fund-raising event which will benefit our community hospital.
Church plans Polish Festival
St. Francis of Assisi will host its third annual Polish Festival starting with Mass at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 21 followed by festivities in the church hall, 70 Adam St., Tonawanda. Tickets are $17 each and $1 for youth 14 years of age and younger. For tickets call 693-1150.

Historian presents the Original Erie Canal
