Auxiliary hosting annual books, DVD’s, CDs sale

The Kenmore Mercy Hospital Auxiliary will be holding its annual used books, DVD’s, and CDs sale from from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday, April 20 in the hospital Atrium, 2950 Elmwood Ave., Kenmore. Hundreds of items will be available at this fund-raising event which will benefit our community hospital.

Church plans Polish Festival

St. Francis of Assisi will host its third annual Polish Festival starting with Mass at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 21 followed by festivities in the church hall, 70 Adam St., Tonawanda. Tickets are $17 each and $1 for youth 14 years of age and younger. For tickets call 693-1150.

Development Disabilities Awareness Day set

The 24th annual Developmental Disabilities Awareness Day convention will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 24 at The Conference & Event Center, 101 Old Falls St., Niagara Falls. Tickets are available at three levels, with more than 150 free scholarship tickets available for people who qualify. Luncheon tickets are $20 and workshop only tickets are $12. This year, the keynote speaker will be the Oprah Winfrey’s OWN Network star, Zach Anner of Kenmore. For tickets and more information are available through the www.ddday.org website.

Ken-Ton Kiwanis Club seeks new members

The Ken-Ton Kiwanis Club is enrolling new members. The club meets at 12:15 p.m. the first and third Thursday of each month at The Grill inside the Paddock Golf Dome, 175 Brompton Road near Brighton Park in the Town of Tonawanda.
