Kosloski was a superior track star

Mary Kosloski Mary Kosloski Mary Kosloski, a 2002 graduate of Kenmore East, could always be found on the track at Parker Field. She earned eight varsity letters competing in cross country as well as indoor and outdoor track. For each sport, Kosloski served as a team captain.

Kosloski won Section VI championships in both the pentathlon and triple jump during her career at Kenmore East. She went on to qualify for the state championship twice, with her best finish being fifth place in the pentathlon.

After graduating, Kosloski held school records in the 100-meter hurdles, high jump, triple jump and the pentathlon.

She continued her track career at SUNY Geneseo, competing in both indoor and outdoor track for four years. Kosloski qualified and competed in the NCAA Division III National Championships four times. In 2006, she earned All-American status in the triple jump.

After graduating from Geneseo, Kosloski completed her doctorate program at Cornell University. She has served in the capacity of visiting assistant professor of geology at prestigious stops including Vassar, Colby College and the University of Iowa beginning next year.
