• Voters in the Town of Tonawanda will go to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 7, to decide three town board seats, and elect new faces to highway superintendent and receiver of taxes. • Kenmore West coach Jerry Tutwiler has a theory on why his team was able to upset its arch-rival, Kenmore East, Saturday at the Bulldogs’ homecoming. “The talk all week was that they thought they had this game in the bag,” Tutwiler said. “I think they thought it was going to be a cakewalk and that we were just going to go through the motions. But we haven’t done that at all this year.”

• The annual Veterans Day services in the Ken-Ton area will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, in front of the Municipal Building, at the intersection of Delaware Avenue and Delaware Road. The Milton J. Brounshidle Post 205 American Legion and the Harry E. Crosby Post 2472 Veterans of Foreign Wars, in conjunction with the Town of Tonawanda, will sponsor the event. This year, Brounshidle will serve as hosts. Town Supervisor Ronald Moline will be master of ceremonies and the guest speaker will be Town Clerk Gordon Tresch, a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.
