Library hours

Winter hours are as follows: noon to 8 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. The library will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day as well as Saturdays and Sundays.

Library events

Explore and More Museum will present a “Make-Your-Own Graham Cracker House” event from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14. The program is free, but space is limited and registration is required. “Reading Has Gone to the Dogs” will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16. Violet, a yellow Labrador licensed therapy dog, will be at the library to listen to children ages 5 to 12 read her a story. Each child will have his or her own 15-minute session with the dog. Call the library for more information or to register for any of these events.

Library events

Books and Barks will be from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 12. Rufus, a licensed therapy dog, will be at the library to listen to children ages 6 to 12 read him a story. Each child will have his or her own 15-minute session with the dog. The Kenmore Library News staff will have

a regular meeting from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16. The Kenmore Library News is a kid-created newsletter with articles, reviews, events, artwork and more based on the resources libraries provide. For children ages 9 to 12. The library will hold Microsoft Word Basics, a computer class for adults from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18. Students will learn the basic functions of the program and how to save a document. Winter hours are as follows: 9:30 to 8 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays; 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays; and 9:30 to 2 p.m. Saturdays. The library will be open until 2 p.m. on Christmas Eve and closed Christmas Day as well as Wednesdays and Sundays.

Library events

The Knitting Club will meet from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 11 and 18. Imagination Station will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. and 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. Saturdays, Dec. 12 and 19. Children ages 5 to 10 will explore science, technology, engineering and math concepts through different books and creations. The Town of Tonawanda Library Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14. “The Polar Express” will be shown at a movie night from 5:45 to 7:45 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17. Children are encouraged to come in their pajamas and bring a blanket or pillow for the movie. The Lego Club will meet from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22.
