Committee on aging to host annual conference

The Network in Aging committee will host its 36th annual meeting and conference from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, at the Grapevine Banquet Facility, 333 Dick Road, Depew. There will be three featured speakers, including Dr. Alison Bramer Cummings, Dr. James Pilc and Dr. Sanford Levy. Awards will also be presented, including one for program excellence, which has been established to showcase a program that has been successfully implemented to enhance Western New York geriatric citizenry. Another presentation will be the “Dr. Evans Calkins Award for Meritorious Service,” which is designated to honor a person who has made a significant contribution to the field of aging in Western New York. The network was founded in 1981 by people committed to improving the quality of life for older people through professional development and resource exchange.
