These activities are scheduled at the Town of Tonawanda Senior Center, 291 Ensminger Road, Tonawanda, which is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Meals are held at noon daily for a $3 voluntary donation. Upcoming Events

A trip to Niagara Falls will take place at 9 a.m. Monday, July 17. There will be facts about Niagara Falls and a visit to the state park and Terrapin Point for a view of the Horseshoe Falls. Also, there will be a buffet lunch at the Como Restaurant, featuring a roaming guitar player. The next stop will be the New York Power Vista and then an up-close and personal view of the falls with a ride on the Maid of the Mist. The last stop will be made at the new Platter’s Chocolate Factory. To sign up, check the office for availability. The cost is $78. The center is taking registration for an AARP Smart Driver Course on the first Monday of each month, beginning July 10 and continuing through early 2018. AARP members pay $20, and nonmembers pay $25. Call the office to register at 874-3266. Bingo will take place at approximately 12:45 p.m. Friday, July 21, in the cafeteria. Boards will be sold for $1 each, and all money collected will be used as prizes. Sign-up isn’t required.
