— Assemblyman Robin Schimminger welcomes Barbara Jones, consul general of Ireland in New York State, during her recent visit to a state legislative session in Albany. Jones, who is now based in New York City, was born in County Wexford, Ireland, the same county in which Schimminger’s paternal grandmother, Anna Robinson, was born. In September 2012, Jones was appointed joint secretary at the British-Irish Intergovernmental Secretariat in Belfast.
