Aquettes travel to Cali to compete in Junior Olympics

Claire Ermer and Alexis Sandekian of the Tonawanda Aquettes compete in the 18/19 Age Group Duet Competition at Junior Olympics in Riverside, Calif. They placed fourth in the event. The Town of Tonawanda Aquettes recently returned from Riverside, California after competing at the Synchronized Swimming Junior Olympics. Twenty–three of the Aquettes had qualified to compete at this meet, which is the world’s largest synchronized swimming competition. Approximately 1,100 athletes from 80 teams from around the United States were in attendance. Swimmers vied for solo, duet, team and combo titles in four age groups (11-12, 13-15, 16-17, 18-19) at the Riverside Aquatics Complex.

The Aquettes continued to demonstrate strength and versatility in their routines and had numerous placements.

The Town of Tonawanda Aquettes is in its 56th year molding champions. The Aquettes offer a variety of synchronized swimming programs suitable for all levels and ages. For more information on the Aquettes, contact Head Coach Karen Alvarez 912-0427
