Out of the Past

The corner saloon

Before Kenmore’s iconic Eberhardt Mansion was built at Delaware and Kenmore Avenues in 1894, it was the location of Winfield Mang’s store and tavern, seen here (and note the dirt roads). Instead of demolishing the building with the coming of the Mansion, it was divided in half and moved, part to Warren Avenue in Kenmore and part to Delaware and Ramsdell Avenues in North Buffalo, where it long stood as part of the Saratoga Restaurant.
