Insurance, point reduction class set

There will be a New York State certified six-hour point and insurance reduction course offered on Saturday, Feb. 19. The course will run from 8:30 to 3 p.m. and will be held at Kenmore Mercy Hospital, 2950 Elmwood Ave., Tonawanda. To pre-register, call 636-4151.

Canine bubble bath day set for Feb. 20

Buffalo Greyhound Adoptions of Cheektowaga is providing a Bubble Bath Spa Day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 20, at Camp Bow Wow, 231 Grand Island Blvd. in Tonawanda. The cost is $15. To make an appointment or volunteer for the event, call Gail at 634-9686.

Ken-Ton Kiwanis Club seeks new members

The Ken-Ton Kiwanis Club is enrolling new members. The club meets at 12:15 p.m. the first and third Thursday of each month at The Grill inside the Paddock Golf Dome, 175 Brompton Road, Town of Tonawanda.

Kenmore Hospital site for jewelry sale

Local artist Bunny Leighton will present her handcrafted jewelry from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, at Kenmore Mercy Hospital in the Atrium. A wide selection of necklaces, bracelets, and earrings will be available for the sale, sponsored by the Kenmore Mercy Hospital Auxiliary. All proceeds will benefit our community hospital.

Lions Club hosting pancake breakfast

The Kenmore Lions Club is hosting its 15th annual pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 27. The event will be held in the Donovan Center at St. Andrew’s Church located at the corner of Elmwood Avenue and Sheridan Drive. A theme basket auction and 50/50 will also be featured at the event. Adults cost $6, children 3 to 12 are $3 and youth under 3 are free.

D’Youville to honor health care leaders

D’Youville College will honor three local health care professionals at its Achievement in Health Care Awards Dinner at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 24 at Salvatore’s Italian Gardens, at the corner of Transit Road and Genesee Street, Depew. The event begins at 6 p.m. Tickets cost $175 with proceeds going to D’You- ville’s student scholarship program. Call 829-7787 for tickets.

Fibromyalgia support group meeting slated

The Fibromyalgia Support Group meets from noon to 1:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of every month at the Amherst Main Library at Audubon, study group room, 350 John James Audubon Parkway, Amherst.
