Death Notices

PERRY, Donald H. Sr., of Tonawanda, died Sunday, April 15, 2012. Mr. Perry is survived by his wife, Virginia (nee Will); one son, Richard; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one sister, Enid Schultz. The family will be present from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, at the Greco Funeral Home, 2909 Elmwood Ave., where prayers will be offered at 8:15 on Thursday, April 19, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 9 a.m. from St. Amelia Church.

POLTRONE, Julianna G. “Julie” (nee Golyski) of Tonawanda, died Saturday, April 14, 2012. Mrs. Poltrone is survived by one son, James J.; one daughter, Rosann; and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph James. Friends may call from 2 until 4 and from 7 until 9 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at the Amigone Funeral Home, 2600 Sheridan Dr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Friday, May 4, from St. Christopher Church, 2660 Niagara Falls Blvd.

ROESCH, Robert H., of Tonawanda, died Monday, April 9, 2012. Mr. Roesch is survived by one nephew, Carl, and three nieces, Barbara Omar, Sharon Davis and Deborah Jasinski. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

STEFFAN, Norma (nee Lankes), of Amherst, died Saturday, April 14, 2012. Mrs. Lankes is survived by two sons, Walter J. Jr. and Mark L.; one daughter, Anne Gunderman; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Marie Fries, Thelma Jenkins and Jane Vollmer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter J., and one daughter, Dianne M. Funeral services were held Monday, April 16, at Amigone Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Canisius College, 2001 Main St., Buffalo, NY 14208.

WOOD, Robert J., of Tonawanda, died Saturday, April 14, 2012. Mr. Wood is survived by two sons, Jerry and Robert John; one daughter, Sally Ann; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Jeanne (nee Quider). A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, April 17, from St. Amelia’s Church, with arrangements made by Amigone Funeral Home. He was a Navy veteran and a retired foreman at the Delevan Avenue Chevrolet Plant, with 35 years of service. He was also the owner and president of Treadwell Road Enterprise Inc.
