Family practitioner earns honors from Kenmore Mercy

Dr. Lisa M. Mendonza, a family practitioner at Kenmore Family Medicine, was recently named Kenmore Mercy Hospital’s Doctor of Distinction for 2013.

Nominations, which come from hospital staff, volunteers and fellow physicians, as well as patients and their families, spoke of how Dr. Mendonza exemplifies the mission and values of Kenmore Mercy, her compassion and respect.

“Dr. Mendonza’s commitment to Catholic Health is evidenced by presence at events and the hours spent visiting patients at the hospital as well as the recent endorsement of Catholic Medical Partners,” stated one Doctor of Distinction nomination.

Mendonza has been affiliated with Kenmore Mercy since 2001. She earned her medical degree from the University at Buffalo, School of Medicine, where she also completed her residency in family medicine.

She also completed a residency at Millard Fillmore Hospital, where she served as chief resident. She is board certified in family medicine. Mendonza is a resident of Clarence Center.
