Sunday Jazz set at Carnegie Art Center

The Carnegie Art Center will host six weeks of jazz concerts, beginning Thursday, Sept. 14, at 240 Goundry St. in North Tonawanda.

Bobby Militello, an American jazz saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist, will kick off the series. According to a prepared statement, he has played with Maynard Ferguson and Dave Brubeck and is active in Buffalo’s music scene.

The performances will run from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Space is limited, and presale tickets are recommended. For tickets, visit www.carnegieartcenter.org.

The schedule of concerts also includes: Sharon Bailey on Sept. 28; Jon Lehning on Oct. 5; Mark Filsinger on Oct. 12; Carina and the Six String Preacher on Nov. 2; and Fredtown Stompers on Nov. 9.

The center is open from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursdays and from noon to 3 p.m. Saturdays. All exhibitions and events are made possible in part by the City of North Tonawanda and the Members of the Carnegie Art Center.
