What’s Going On

Church plans Epiphany Concert

St. Francis of Assisi will hold its Epiphany Concert at 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, in the church, at 150 Broad St. in Tonawanda. The concert will feature local church choirs and instrumental ensembles, such as St. Francis of Assisi Church, First Presbyterian Church, Grove Street Christian Church and St. Jude’s Church, among others. The concert is free.

Board of Education to host forum

All members of the Ken-Ton School District community are invited to attend a community forum with members of the Board of Education and Superintendent Stephen Bovino from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, in the second-floor boardroom at the Administration Building, 1500 Colvin Blvd. Members of the public need not stay for the entire time and may come and go as their schedules permit.

Parent Academy slated for Jan. 9

In collaboration with the Parent Teacher Association, Hoover Middle School will present its third Parent Academy of the 2017-18 school year from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, in the cafeteria. The informational session is open to all Ken-Ton School District families. The topic will be “Who’s the Boss?” School psychologist Larry Scott will discuss restorative practices to boost positive childhood behavior.
