Aquettes compete in East Zone Championship Meet


Tonawanda Aquettes Alice Budzich and Maya Gentile compete in the Duet competition at East Zone Championships last weekend at Wheaton College. Tonawanda Aquettes Alice Budzich and Maya Gentile compete in the Duet competition at East Zone Championships last weekend at Wheaton College. The Town of Tonawanda Aquettes synchronized swim team recently traveled to Norton, Massachusetts to compete at the East Zone 13-15 Age Group Championships.

Held at Wheaton College, this was the first away meet for these girls and the team posted great finishes in all events. A high point of the competition was swimmer Brenna O’Brocta being selected to the East Zone All Star Team for her placement in the Figure competition. Other highlights were the team clinching the silver medal in the Combo Event and placing second overall in the total points for the High Point Team Trophy.
