- Cardinal O’Hara senior Brandon Broadnax, running back and defensive back, was named the Character Athlete of the game after the Hawks’ win over St. Mary’s last Saturday. Broadnax is Student Council president, Connolly Cup-nominated, All-Catholic football player. The Character Athlete of the Game was awarded after the game against St. Mary's. The award from Cross Training Athletics is given to the "Athlete who best demonstrates positive character qualities of speech, conduct, love, faith and integrity of the game and plays with the Heart of a Champion," according to the CTA website.
