GreenFields, Dent to host cannabis forum

The GreenFields Continuing Care Community will host Dr. Laszlo Mechtler, medical director at Dent Neurologic Institute, and Chris Jamele, executive director at the Parkinson’s Foundation, WNY Chapter, for an interactive discussion regarding cannabis in today’s medical community. The forum will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, in the Richard Siebold Auditorium at GreenField Manor, 5953 Broadway, Lancaster. The event is free of charge. 2018 Galleria of Treats event set for Oct. 30

The Walden Galleria will host the 24th annual trick-or-treating event, “Galleria of Treats,” from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, on the lower level of the mall near Forever 21. The event is sponsored by Niagara by Frey, which will be donating 60,000 pieces of candy and 3,000 candy bars. All proceeds from the “Galleria of Treats” will benefit the American Cancer Society. Junior League announces grant application

The Junior League of Buffalo is now accepting applications for its Community Assistance Small Grants program. A maximum of $7,000 is anticipated to be available in funding, which may be split among successful applicants at the Junior League of Buffalo’s discretion.
